A Tree and a Haircut

This morning Lily received a wonderful haircut by our friend Joanne Huddleson. She was so good with Lily that she made Cool Cuts seem like amateurs. We came to her house to be greeted by a warm smile, a big hug and lattes! Lily sat so well in Greg's lap while I took pictures. Afterwards, Joanne let Greg and Lily and I sit on her back porch swing and enjoy our lattes and the gorgeous view of Pikes Peak while she attended to another client. It was a wonderful way to start our day.
Next was time to put up Christmas in the Heimbuck household. Oh I love this day so much that I have had it on the calendar for months! Lily was a wonderful helper, as was Bob. With Christmas music blaring, singing coming from our souls and rearranging the furniture (which I'm a big fan of, really) none of us could help but smile. Lily even brought on some of her dance moves, which right now looks a lot like she is saying "Ole!". A big thanks to my wonderful husband who took these pictures. Mom gets to be in some pictures, wow!

Lily's First Steps

November 14, 2008 will forever be known as an important morning. Lily and I were at her physical therapy appointment, when she took her first four steps alone! I praised her and started crying; sometimes a mom needs to cry in joy. After working with her so much, I was so happy to be there for her first steps (she likes to show off for other people, but she's used to me). Afterwards, she needed a break in the ball pit (see picture) since she had been working so hard. Go Lily Bean and thank you Miss Hilary!

Lily's First Harvest Party: Halloween 2008

Today Greg took Lily (mommy was sick) to her first Harvest party at her Physical Therapist's office. There were games of pumpkin bowling and matching skeletons on physical therapy balls. All patients and their siblings were invited to dress up and snack on cookies and just enjoying playing. Lily stood up all by herself for about thirty seconds, which is the longest she has stood

all by herself. She had a great time as a Broncos Cheerleader (not shown is the bow in her hair and her blue pom pom).

Tonight Greg cut into the pumpkin that Lily and I had picked out at The Colorado Pumpkin Patch earlier this month while Greg had been in China. Lily and mommy got to take a hay ride and slide down a hay slide on a potato bag and just have fun with our friends the Wilsons.
